Our Momentum Youth Conference team works to plan Momentum all year around as we work towards an amazing week for students. We want to create an environment for God to move in big ways in the lives of junior and senior high schoolers and a lot of details, organization, prayer, teamwork, and forethought are required.
Each summer Momentum has an internship opportunity. Historically we’ve offered the internship from May to the end of the conference. However, this year we’ve expanded the role of our intern and the months that we are offering the experience as well as allocating this as a paid experience. Check out the job description which outlines that the experience is partially task oriented work and partially big picture/coordinating, details/brainstorming ideas. There will be a lot of opportunity to have ownership over projects and to learn what it takes to coordinate a big event and help churches be effective in reaching students.
If you are a college student, the Momentum internship may also offer applied learning credits. This internship is for a spiritually mature person who has the skill set outlined. From this experience, our intern will gain insight into planning a major youth conference and the different areas of preparing for Momentum 2017.
The Momentum intern serves alongside the Momentum coordinators to help prepare for Momentum 2017. This position is from January to August 2017. It will include a period of preparation from January to May of working 10 hours a week and May to July for 20 – 25 hours a week. Then in August ten hours a week will be needed for follow-up tasks.
Our intern serves with us at Momentum Youth Conference, July 18-23, at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. During the length of the internship, he or she must live in the Winona Lake, Indiana, area and be able to be in the CE National office multiple times a week for the hours listed above.
