Heritage Day – April 27, 2018

An Event for People of All Ages

Registrations are now closed for Heritage Day 2018.

Featuring guest speaker Dr. Peter Teague, president of Lancaster Bible College, Heritage is April 27, 2018, Heritage is a day for everyone including pastors and lay people of all ages.

Doors open at 8:00 a.m. and the program begins at 9:15 a.m. Lunch is from the famous Shady Maple Smörgåsbord.

The program will include Dr. Peter Teague and CE National leaders speaking on the need to “multiple our lives.” Music will be by One Heart One Voice.  The day will also include great fellowship, a hymn sing, and a presentation of Patrick Henry’s “Liberty and Death” speech by Randy Maxson. The day will conclude by 1:30 p.m.

Dr. Teague has served as president of Lancaster Bible College since July 1, 1999. His presidency continues a ministry career that has spanned four decades of Christian education and leadership development.

A native of Iowa, Dr. Teague earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Psychology from Sterling College, a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Luther Rice Seminary, and Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Teague has been a contributing editor and co-author for several books and publications and has served on the directing boards of a variety of Christian and secular organizations. He is co-founder and president of Jessica and Friends Community, a faith-based organization offering services and supports to individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.

He and his wife, Paulette, reside in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and have four children and ten grandchildren.

Participants will assemble packets for the homeless to be distributed by Urban Hope in Philadelphia. A $5 donation is suggested to help cover the cost of the items in the packets, payable that day.

There is an optional opportunity to see the 3 p.m. performance of “Jesus” at Sight and Sound Theater. (Maps will be available—NO group transportation provided.)

Pre-registration is required and payment for both Heritage and “Jesus” must be made at time of pre-registration. Pre-registration deadline is April 5. No refunds for “Jesus” at Sight and Sound after pre-registration deadline. No refunds for Heritage Day after April 18. Heritage Day pre-registration is $30 per person. The price of the optional showing of “Jesus” at Sight and Sound Theater is $66 per person.
