Auburn Grace Community Church Helps Urban Hope Los Angeles

Urban Hope Los Angeles is grateful to have a partnership with Auburn Grace Community Church in Auburn, California. Earlier this year the church sent their middle school students down from Northern California to join UHLA for a week of evangelism training and ministry opportunities. Last weekend (Nov. 16-18) the church was back with a work team to build and install 26 additional beds (13 bunk beds) in the dorm rooms.

Auburn Grace was gracious enough to donate all the materials and labor to make this happen!  What a Blessing!

One of the men’s small groups took on the challenge, with the support of the church’s missions board to complete the bunk beds. Men did some pre-assembly work at the church on Saturday. Then three of them drove the U-Haul and church van down to Urban Hope LA to finish building and installing the bunk beds.

The group arrived on Sunday afternoon with a U-Haul full of materials and by Monday afternoon all the beds were completely built!

Special thanks to Tom Coburn for coordinating everything and getting the men from his church involved in the process. UHLA now has the capacity to house 48 people at a time.

The men also brought with them over 60 handmade quilts from people in their church for UHLA to give to homeless people or those in need of warm blankets.

Thank you, Auburn Grace Community Church for your investment in training believers to live ON MISSION for Jesus through Urban Hope Training Center Los Angeles.
