Four Old Testament Teenagers, 4-Part Series

Start of the study...

These four studies are designed to help today's teenager understand what it means to be a real teenager--not an artificial adult. There are unseen forces at work in the student's world that could rob them of the greatest thrill of their student years--the thrill of just being yourself, and finding God's purpose for you in life.

You may want to share with your group prior to any of the studies the following four characteristics of a "real teenager".

1. He has accepted himself. A real teenager accepts the fact that he's a teenager, and that his main task in life is learning how to be an adult. He accepts his strengths and weaknesses, and is willing to wait for adult privileges. Students need to make up their mind they are going to be "real teenagers"-- not an artificial adult. They need to make up their minds that they are going to invest their student years, not just spend them.
