June 1. Wow. It is hard to believe that we are to that point of the year again. This is when we start loading up Operation Barnabas equipment and have things stacked everywhere in our office. This year, while I am not leading a team, I do get to be involved with directing the leaders orientation and the student orientation. Things are coming together well.

Probably the best part of what I get to do is help teach young people what servant leadership is then work with other adults to help them practice this kind of lifestyle all summer long. For many--this isn't just a summer--but becomes a part of the way they will live life each and every day.

Probably one thing that is helping to reinforce (at least for me) what we are doing in ministry training is part of what was shared by four "alums" of our church youth group who spoke with the guys in the youth group the other week. Each of the four guys said they got excited about their personal relationship with God when they started sharing their faith. And they continue to do so.

Only a few more "free" days and then some important stuff starts to happen in, and for, through 91 teens and 16 adult leaders.
