| 412 Commission Students Nearing End of Semester |

The 412 Commission students will be wrapping up the first semester of their 412 experience on December 14th. Students will head home for the holidays and break, returning in January with a full semester of study and travel ahead of them. During the second semester they will take a missions trip out of the country and also spend two weeks in Israel studying under the teaching of Dr. Randy Smith of Sebring, Florida. |

Sometimes a scavenger hunt is just a scavenger hunt. That's all it is at many churches, where the frenzied chase to collect trinkets and complete silly tasks is a perennial activity aimed at getting teenagers into their doors. But at Calvary Baptist Church in Bellflower, Calif., a scavenger hunt is also a metaphor for a lifelong pursuit of meaning and happiness that begins in adolescence--and rich grist for a sermon targeted to teens. "A scavenger hunt is a search," youth leader Doug Jones, 20, tells the 80 teens who have just returned from a race through this working-class city 30 miles east of Los Angeles. | CE National Hosts National Organizations Lunch | |||||||||||
Tuesday, December 5, 2006, CE National hosted a luncheon for administrators and staff of several Grace Brethren organizations located in Winona Lake. Represented were Grace Brethren International Missions, Grace Brethren Investment Foundation, Brethren Missionary Herald, the Grace Brethren Fellowship Coordinator’s office, Grace College and Theological Seminary, Grace Brethren North American Missions, and CE National. It was a time for getting acquainted with those who may not know each other except by voice, as many in the different organizations talk on the phone or email but have never met face to face. | CE National Lending Library is Growing | |||||||||||
Lending Library continues to grow in usage and in resources available. The number of resources available has grown to over 14,100. This is up almost 1,000 from last year at this time. As well, patrons using the library are up. We currently have over 760 patrons and that is up over 125 from last year at this time. Read more... |

| Day Away North of 55 Events Coming to Florida | |||||||||||
If you are “north” of 55 years old and live in Florida, you have TWO opportunities to be involved in a Day Away. The first will be January 11, 2007, in Port Richey at the Gulfview Grace Brethren Church. The second will be held January 12 at the Sebring Grace Brethren Church.
