Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the
CE National Staff

CE National Staff

Merry Christmas! This is a wonderful time of the year as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "Unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given." May the Lord use you to make a difference in the life of another person as you proclaim in word and deed that Jesus is the Hope of the world!

The CE National offices will be closed for the Christmas/New Year holiday from December 23 to January 2 and will reopen for business January 3 at 8 a.m.

Taking Xtreme Makeover to a Whole New Level

BNYC 2007

BNYC 2007's theme of Xtreme Makeover applies to several different areas:

  1. The makeover of our hearts. Are we really following Jesus with our whole lives? Are we living like each day is a new beginning?
  2. The makeover of the community. Can we make a difference in an area affected by Hurricane Katrina by doing community service?
  3. The makeover of the existing framework of BNYC. Can we make BNYC more beneficial to the local church?
  4. The makeover of our conference name. Can we give our name more purpose and meaning?
The New Name of BNYC!!
When what we now know as BNYC first began in 1938, it was called Bethany Youth Camp, after the location where the group met. Over the years the youth conference has gone through several other name changes and has now come to simply be known as BNYC. But now in 2007, BNYC is getting a new name - Momentum.. Read more...

Covenant Eyes--Internet Accountability Software

Pornography has increasingly become a problem among pastors and church leaders. Focus on the Family stated that on their pastor hotline seventy percent of the calls deal with pornography, and these are pastors. There probably aren’t many men who haven’t been tempted to browse the internet and look at pornography.

Mitch and his wife Kim are active in discipling at Goshen Grace Community Church in Goshen, Indiana. Mitch writes about a resource that can help people be victorious in their struggle with internet pornography. Read more...

Coming in January--the New CE National Website
New Website

Reaching, Teaching, and Releasing--CE's Theme for 2007

Reaching people for Christ
We desire to reach people in our paths, whether that's friends, neighbors, relatives, or associates. People need the hope that only comes through faith in Christ.

Teaching people the whole counsel of God
We believe in using the Bible as our sourcebook, our guide, our foundation for life. We want all our people to know and apply the Word of God. See our statement of faith.

Releasing people for ministry
We want all believers to be empowered and equipped to be effective in ministry. That ministry may be inside our church building or outside the facilities. We want God's people to feel supported as they serve God daily.

New Tax Laws Help With Giving

For years, many of us have been saving pretax dollars in traditional and Roth IRAs for special purposes as we grow older toward retirement.

Recently a federal law was enacted to allow owners (70 ½ years and older) of these IRAs to share that wealth by giving it directly to a charitable organization without first counting it as income and paying income taxes.

What a “philanthropic opportunity” for those who wish to assist CE National in specific programs i.e., BNYC, Operation Barnabas, 412 Commission or especially at this time the Russell Center. Read more...

CE Hmmm...Fresh Evangelism Resources--Edited by Andy Wirt

We all know that the mission of the church is to make disciples in our local communities and beyond. Closer to home… we know that it is our responsibility as church leaders to equip each believer within our sphere of influence to be effective participants in our church’s Great Commission initiatives.
