A Special Evening For 412 Students |

Some of the 412 Students During the Ceremonies
412 students enjoyed a special evening on Friday, May 9, as they graduated from the 412 program. The evening, hosted by Grace Community Church in Goshen, Ind., and CE National, was a time of celebration. Mike Pumphrey, 412 Site Coordinator, challenged the group, and students shared testimonies of what God taught them through the year and what they plan to do in the future. Plaques were given to each student demonstrating completion of the one-year program of Bible study, discipleship, and ministry. Read more and see pictures...

Parent Fuel from Reach Out Youth Solutions |
More than any other generation, today's children and teens find themselves isolated from caring adults. Kids need love, security, and support from their parents now more than ever. How do parents connect with a disconnected generation?
Dr. Barry St. Clair and Reach Out Youth Solutions created the Parent Fuel resources to equip parents to love God with all their hearts and to lead their kids to do the same. Parent Fuel gives parents the tools to connect with their kids heart-to-heart and to discover how to spiritually invest in their kids and their kids' friends.

Mike and Connie Pumphrey, 412 Commission Site Coordinators, had a baby boy, Malachi Stephen, on Sunday, May 11, at 1:30 a.m. Malachi is healthy and happy and so is Mom. Brent Saba Reports on Urban Hope Teams |
Ten teams visited Urban Hope Training Center in March and April. Some of the teams ministered for the weekend but most were here for the entire week. During their visit, the groups learned about the population growth of our cities, challenges faced in urban ministry, how to build relationships and share their faith, and how to bring what they learned back home. The groups participated in ministry in places like Philabodia (Cambodian section), Chinatown, 5th Street Puerto Rican section, South Street, Boy’s and Girl’s clubs, Philabundance Food Bank, and, of course, the streets in the Urban Hope community. Top Speakers Come To Momentum West |
Along with the nearly three days of service opportunities, Momentum West participants will enjoy top speakers, worship, and events. Francis Chan, a long-time Momentum favorite, will return and open up the conference Monday night and Tuesday morning. Chan is the teaching pastor at Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, Calif., and a master at illustrating the truths of God's Word. Mike Yankoski, a new addition to Momentum, is a speaker and author of the book Under The Overpass. He has a great burden to reach the poor and needy of our country, so much so that he became homeless for six months.
Cheryl Fawcett of the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, will speak on Tuesday and challenge the students before they go out to minister. Don Shoemaker, Chairman of Social Concerns for the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches, will also challenge our students on Wednesday morning. We're excited to have Todd Proctor back with us to lead in worship on Monday and Tuesday, and we'll have the mime troupe Speechless, from Grace Church of Orange, perform Tuesday night. The week will close with a Friday night Concert of Prayer and Communion at Seal Beach.
There's still time to register. Go to www.buildmomentum.org to find out how. |
