Your church might not have had helicopter rides or record attendance on Easter Sunday morning, but as long as the message of Jesus' resurrection was taught, lives were changed.

Here are stories of Easter Sunday from churches across the country. If you'd like to share your church's story, please email CENewsOnline@cenational.org and we'll add it to this report. Read stories...

How To Pray For Urban Hope Training Center

Jason Holt, Director of Church Development at the Urban Hope Training Center, sends these specific ways to pray for the ministry at Urban Hope.

  1. Pray that God would provide someone to take on the Facility Coordinator position here at Urban Hope. Although we have had help from many outside groups in maintaining the facilities here at UH, there is more than enough work to be done on these aging buildings. This would allow Jason to focus more time and energy on the development of the church.

"What You See Should Effect Your Heart" -- Youth Emphasis Week

Youth Emphasis Week

The National Institute, CE National's youth ministry major through Grace College, sponsored Youth Emphasis Week at Grace College's chapel this week, March 25-27.

The theme for the event, LOST!, was emphasized by both special speakers. On Tuesday, Josh Finklea, founder of Star Outreach, spoke from the book of Luke. Josh focused on the story of Jesus bringing the widow's son back from the dead. His point was that what you see should effect your heart and what you feel should move your hands. Josh challenged the students to reach out to lost people around them. TNI students also gave testimonies during chapel about the Salvation Army tutoring ministry they've had this semester. YouthNet in "The Big Apple"

Ed Lewis is joining nine youth pastors in New York City this weekend getting further exposure to youth ministries that capture young people in today's society. Why is there a disparity between what we do in church youth ministry and where young people are in society?

While YouthNet is in New York they will have an opportunity to talk with youth, church leaders, and youth organization heads. A high point will be visiting Metro Ministries where Bill Wilson reaches 25,000 children a week at the world's largest Sunday School. They will ride the busses to pick up kids from all over Brooklyn. Look for reports next week!
