Remember seeing a pump out back of an old house or farm when you were growing up…the one that you had to hand pump…the one that had to be primed before the water would come out? If you ever tried pumping one, your arm would ache and it would seem that the water would never come. But eventually the water would start flowing. It was always a welcome sight! Read more...

The Garden, The Cross, The Empty Tomb

Marilyn Orlando, a faithful CE National volunteer, writes poetry occasionally. This Easter poem was inspired by messages given at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church titled "The Garden" (by Jeff Gill), "The Cross" (by Kip Cone), "The Empty Tomb" (by Bruce Barlow).

Jesus went into the garden
To spend some time in prayer.
He found Himself to be alone
Even though His friends were there.

CE National Remembers Christ on Good Friday

CE National uses Good Friday as an opportunity to thank God for Jesus' death on the cross. An important part of the day is an Hour With God where the staff pray and personally reflect on their relationships with Him. Following that time in the morning, prayer requests are shared with the group and every student and leader on Operation Barnabas is prayed for. Also, each one of CE National's ministries is remembered specifically in prayer. CE National desires to see each of our ministries make an impact in local churches.

At noon visitors in the Winona Lake area are invited to join the staff for lunch and a time of watching the Matthew movie by Visual Bible, chapters 26 through 28. This is always an impactful time as we observe Christ's death for us on the cross, see His resurrection, and hear the compelling words to "go and make disciples of all nations." If you would like to come, please call Cathy at 574.267.6622.

We trust you will have a wonderful weekend not only remembering Christ's death, but thanking Him for the power of the resurrection.

Happy Easter from the staff at CE National!
