Momentum West Starts Next Week |
Francis Chan will speak during the opening session of Momentum West this Monday (June 23). Chan is part of the 1 1/2 days of preparation students will receive before their ministry opportunities begin.
Please pray for students as they have opportunities to share Christ with Muslims and various other people-groups.
Students will also participate as counselors in a WowJam event. WowJam events are designed to love people in practical ways, then share the gospel with them.
Mike Yankowski will also be part of the learning experience for Momentum West attendees. Mike spent five months as a homeless person to better understand the challenges of this segment of the population.
The week will close with a concert of prayer and 3-Fold Communion on the beach.

Help Send An Urban Hope Student to Momentum East |

Thirteen students from the Urban Hope Training Center are working hard to attend Momentum East this year. Over $1,500 has already been raised, but $4,000 more is still needed. The students, themselves, have raised $500 for their cause. But they can't do it alone.
The Momentum experience would be invaluable for these urban students. "The group is very excited to come", Says Brent Saba, Director of Training at Urban Hope, "For this group to be outside of their normal environment, around other believers, and challenged by the scriptures would mean so much to them."
If you would like to help, make your check out to CE National with "Urban Hope Momentum" in the memo line, and mail to CE National, PO Box 365, Winona Lake, IN, 46590.

Of All Things... Take Your Dog To Work Day |

Courtney With Luke
|
You've heard of "Take Your Son or Daughter to Work Day". But how about a day for dogs?
Today is the day you could have your 4-legged friend join you at work. Courtney Cherest, The National Institute Assistant, did just that. In honor of "Take Your Dog to Work Day", Courtney brought her 6-month-old, Chocolate Lab named Coolhand Luke (Luke for short) with her to CE National.
"Take Your Dog To Work Day" was created in 1999 to celebrate the great companions dogs make and encourage their adoption.
Idea: Next time you have a free, outreach car wash, consider including dog washing. It's a great way to meet fellow dog owners in your neighborhood. |
Building A Wall At Urban Hope |
Nine people are making the trip this weekend from Winona Lake, Ind., to Philadelphia, Penn., to build a wall at the Urban Hope Training Center. Art Bushen, CE National Building and Grounds Coordinator, is leading the group. Eight are from the Leesburg Grace Brethren Church and one is from the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.
The plexiglas wall will separate the hockey area from the table games area in the youth center basement.
The work crew will also do some electrical work, participate in Urban Hope's Friday Night ROCK, and do some site seeing Saturday evening.
