A new sign now greets visitors to the CE National's Life Application Center.
The sign replaces the old, wooden one on Wooster Road, across from the entrance to CE National. The new sign has a marquee which will be used for announcing special events.

Only 33 Days Left Until "See You At the Pole"
|
See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event. That means this is all about students meeting at their school flagpole to pray—for their school, friends teachers, government, and their nation. See You at the Pole™ is not a demonstration, political rally, nor a stand for or against anything.
See You at the Pole™ is scheduled annually on the fourth Wednesday in September, which is September 24th in 2008. The suggested starting time is 7a.m. If that doesn't work for your school, choose a time that will work for your school, but let everyone at your school know!
To find out more, go to www.syatp.com.

It's A Wrap--TK Reflects on OB 2008 |
Each year I write a "wrap up" to conclude the OB ministry. Here is this year's edition...
So what do I say in conclusion to an unbelievable summer of ministry training and ministry experience? Here are some concluding thoughts as I have had almost a month to gather my thoughts regarding Operation Barnabas 2008:
I am grateful for faithful young adults who know and seek God. Read more on TK's Blog...

Maryland Youth Worker Ordained to the Ministry |

Larry Everett with TK
|
CE National would like to offer its congratulations to Larry Everett upon his ordination to ministry at Life Church in Upper Marlboro, MD, this past Sunday. Larry came to Christ in 1988 and has been involved in youth ministry at various churches and through Young Life ministries. Larry works for the Fairfax (VA) Fire Department as a Battalion Chief and will continue in youth ministry at his local church. Many recognize Larry because of his work at the Momentum youth conferences as the director of Transportation for the annual conference. |
Timothy Kurtaneck was able to represent CE National and gave the charge on Sunday afternoon at the ordination service. TK says, “Larry is a man of joy and passion. It is obvious that Jesus lives within him. Anyone who knows Larry is blessed by his servant spirit and willingness to help others in any way possible. He is a great model of what it means to live a life of ministry and is a dear brother and friend.”
Larry has been married to Andrea for 22 years and their children are Philip, Rebekah, and Joshua. Congratulations Larry and may the Lord continue to use you in His work!

Momentum 2008 Student Now In Heaven |
Matthew Helmick, Momentum East 2008 student, was recently killed in a tragic farming accident.
Matthew was an "incredible young man!", Janet Rowland
posted on Matthew's guest book. "He mowed my grass to earn money for his missions trip which he was so proud to be part of. He spoke to me of his love of the Lord, his church, his family and his farm. He was truly an amazing person whom God has a much bigger plan for in heaven."
Charles Wright also wrote, "I met Matt during Momentum and even though I only knew him for a week it was the best week I think we ever had."
Please be praying for the Helmick family and Crossroads Community Church in Akron, Ohio.
Read about Matthew on the Akron Beacon Journal website and sign Matthew's guestbook. |
