What Does the 'CE' Stand For In CE National? |

|
We have been told there are some who have thought we are a cement company..., but really CE National is a "Church Effectiveness" Office.
This ministry office, based in Winona Lake, Indiana, was formed in 1966 when the Grace Brethren Sunday School Board and the Youth Board came together to become known as GBC Christian Education. Some may even remember the logo: three green leaves that stood for Christian Education, Youth, and Church Growth. Read more... |
Can One Day Feed The World? |
CE National has recently engaged in an exciting new partnership with Convoy of Hope, a Christian compassion relief organization that helps mobilize, resource and train churches to conduct community outreaches, respond to disasters and direct other compassion initiatives in the United States and around the world. In 2008, CE National again partnered with Convoy of Hope in conjunction with Momentum, our annual student conference, and we wanted to make you aware of a unique way that your church can partner with this incredible ministry. "God did it!" Pastor Jim Brown |
Congratulations to Grace Community Church in Goshen, Indiana. The church launched a new satellite campus last Sunday.
Jim Brown, Senior Pastor and CE National Board member, wrote in an email to his congregation: "It was incredible to think that we had three services happening at the same time on Sunday, Goshen Main, Goshen Link, and South Bend Movies 14. Our building was flooded with people and it was very moving to see all the community taking place".
The church began a new series titled "WHY" and Sunday's message was "Why believe in the God of the Bible?" Jim gave the people a chance to respond and 40 made decisions for Jesus. |

Farewell To Kirsten James |
Thanks and best wishes to Kirsten James, Momentum Assistant and Publications Coordinator. Kirsten has transitioned to a ministry position in a local church here in Winona Lake after serving four years at CE National.
Kirsten's abilities in graphics and design, organizational skills, and heart for ministry will be missed here at CE National.

Three Good Things in One Day |
Don't know if it is really true or not, but my wife, Dana, says that bad things happen in threes. I'm not sure there is a scientific study to prove her right or not, but she is a pretty smart lady. Today I am grateful to report that good things also happen in threes.
Got an e-mail today. In fact, I got two of them. The first was from a youth pastor friend talking about the way God is working in the youth group. Read more on TK's Blog...

Winners of the OB Faithfulness Award |
Since participating on Operation Barnabas is not an end result but rather a step in the process, we encourage OB participants to be involved in the OB Faithfulness Program.
This ten-month discipleship program, completed the year immediately following the student’s summer on OB, involves being mentored and accountable to a responsible spiritual adult in the church, as well as mentoring a younger student.
