A great way to encourage kids to learn about giving is to have a financial project during your Vacation Bible School. Urban Hope would like to encourage you to support the Urban Hope Kingdom Kids program through your VBS or other children's ministry offering.

Kingdom Kids is the entry point for many children in the Urban Hope neighborhood to hear about Christ. Each week the kids are challenged to put their faith in Christ through drama and a Bible lesson. They are also encouraged to attend a 2-3 week evangelistic Bible study with Urban Hope leaders to find out more about Jesus and how they need to surrender their lives to Him. Read more...

Children's Cabinet Going to Conspire Conference

The CE National Children's Cabinet

CE National's Children's Cabinet and friends will be attending Conspire Children's Ministry Conference at Willow Creek Community Church, April 23-25. The event will include over 4,000 ministry leaders and volunteers from over 50 denominations. Attendees will discuss large group and small group programming, curriculum, strategies, resources, and more. CE National is hosting a special meal and business session on Wednesday evening to help bring some of these ideas back to our local churches. Go to the Conspire website.

412 Students Finish Strong and Head Toward Graduation

The 412 Commission

Finish Strong. Those are the words of encouragement given to the students as they finish out these last five weeks. They have been busy getting back into the routine of school since coming back from Israel. After returning, the team got together with a professor from Grace College to learn about the inter-testamental period. The week that followed was a great learning experience as they dug deeper into that time period and did research papers. They then shared group presentations, discussing things like the different religious sects of the time, the Maccabean Revolt, Herod the Great, and the exile of the Jewish people. Read more...

The 412 Commission students are set to graduate on Friday evening, May 9th. They will have completed 26 hours of coursework through Liberty University. After this, all of the students will begin two-month internships paralleling their area of spiritual gifts and passion. Some will be involved in working with children, others with technology, youth, teaching, etc.
