Congratulations to These Operation Barnabas Alumni!

Since participating on Operation Barnabas is not an end result but rather a step in the process, we encourage OB participants to be involved in the OB Faithfulness Program.

This ten-month discipleship program, completed the year immediately following the student’s summer on OB, involves being mentored and accountable to a responsible, spiritual adult in the church, as well as mentoring a younger student. Read more...

See You At the Pole--Started by Students

Send your See You At the Pole reports to CENewsOnline@CENational.org so we can share them with others.

See You At the Pole is the largest prayer event of the year and it is led by young people. Did you know that See You At the Pole was begun by a group of students in Texas? This group was so burdened by their school and having Christ honored that they went out late at night after a youth meeting and stood at their school's flagpole just to pray for the school. CE National Thanks Former Cabinet Members

Former Cabinet Members

CE National wants to thank and honor the following cabinet members for their time, service, and input into CE National by being part of a cabinet over the past several years. Due to changes in ministry focus and positions these are no longer a part of CE National’s cabinets.

Rich Russell from New Holland, Pennsylvania, has been on the CE National Children’s Cabinet for 17 years. He was part of the first cabinet meeting in the summer of 1990.

Andy Brightbill from Lititz, Pennsylvania, has served the past 2 years on the CE National YouthNet Commission (Cabinet).

Nathan Wells from Ashland, Ohio, served the past 6 years on the YouthNet Commission (Cabinet).

Kevin Lilly formerly from Community Grace Brethren Church in Warsaw, Indiana, and currently at NorthWest Chapel in Dublin, Ohio, served 9+ years on the YouthNet Commission (Cabinet).

CE National’s cabinets are made up of volunteers that meet two or three times a year to discuss ways to further ministries in local churches. CE currently has four established cabinets: Children’s Cabinet, YouthNet Commission, Halftime Cabinet and North of 55 Cabinet. Young Adults are represented by individuals, rather than a cabinet, who write for the website and lead roundtables and forums.

TNI Hosts Game Night

The National Institute hosted its first "BYOG" (Bring Your Own Game) Night on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, 9-11pm.

TNI was excited to invite the youth ministry students of Grace College to hang out for an evening at the Russell Center. CE National's YouthNet Commission joined the students for an evening of brownies, ice cream, root-beer floats, and board games. Students mingled with the YouthNet guys and played board games while enjoying each other's company.

TNI is looking forward to next month's get-together with the event's location to be announced later. See pictures...

I am starting a high school girls Bible study and I have decided to do the Biblical Beliefs (youth) book for the study.

I am usually not excited about Bible study books and rarely jump at a chance to do one, but this study I am excited about! I am very impressed with the leader’s guide and the way it is laid out for the leader. I was pretty anxious about just coming up with something on my own but once I went through the guide I realized that the format is already set- brilliant!

I am also very excited for the girls who are doing the study- this is so foundational and practical for their faith, and it’s going to be a great study!

So whoever wrote it and planned the leaders guide did a fabulous job!

This study should be pushed more for churches who have Bible Studies for teens- it’s better than a lot of things out there!

You can order Biblical Beliefs online at the CE National Resource Center or by contacting Peggy at resources@cenational.org or 574.267.6622.
