Operation Barnabas--What Counts is AFTER the Bus Ride is Over

Cleaning an OB Bus
OBers Clean the Bus

Joe, a 2007 OB Alum, shares about his experience.

I'm finding more and more that OB was more than just a summer. It was more than just a ministry team, more than just going out and effecting lives for a summer. Looking back, I realize that OB never really ended. The things that we learned on OB about looking at people like God does, about serving Him with everything that we've got, about giving up what is holding us back in our relationship with Him... Ministry, and everything else, did not stop at debriefing. Read more...

Brent Saba Leads Young Man to Christ

Urban Hope Light the Night
Brent with Drew

This article was part of Brent Saba's recent Urban Hope newsletter. Brent is the Director of Training at Urban Hope.

One Sunday afternoon in mid-September, I met Drew after our Kingdom Kids program. He mentioned to me that he wanted to check out what we were about since a relative of his attends Urban Hope.

After talking for a few minutes, I asked him if he considered himself to be a follower of Jesus. He immediately replied by telling me that he was not. I then asked him if he would be willing to chill sometime and read what the Bible teaches about "all of this Jesus stuff." After thinking for a moment, he agreed and we met up. Read more...

Judgment House and more...
The 412 team spent last week in Akron, Ohio, at Judgment House, a walk-through drama designed to lead people to question their eternal destination. TNI Students Help With Judgment House

The goal for each National Institute course is for students to learn in the classroom as well as through hands-on ministry opportunities. This semester’s Evangelism and Discipleship course incorporated a visit to "Judgment House" at Grace Community Church in Goshen, Indiana. Judgment House is an evangelistic drama production where the gospel is clearly presented. While students have been taught in the classroom about evangelism, this was an opportunity to put it into practice. The following is a report from Alex Seney, a TNI freshman from Loveland, Ohio:

"This field trip to Judgment House was by far, my favorite. It was awesome to be part of a thriving ministry and to see a church that is committed to reaching their local community. Read more...
