We Have Momentum to Help 3 Cities |

Wednesday afternoon at Momentum will be huge! Students and adults will have the opportunity to minister in one of three different communities.
The annual Blitz will be held on Wednesday with teams of students doing community service projects in Hattiesburg, the community where the university is located. Work teams will also travel to Gulfport, MS, to help with painting and dry walling and food distribution in the community. And, on the same day, students have the opportunity to help with initial clean-up operations in Pearlington, MS. The town of Pearlington has been totally overlooked in the Katrina cleanup process. Convoy of Hope reports that the community of Pearlington looks like it did a week after the hurricane, as much of the attention has been given to larger communities. Read more...

Daddy/Daughter Bowling--An Easy Outreach |
Community Grace in Warsaw, Indiana, had a Daddy/Daughter bowling outreach last Sunday night with over 70 attending. Here’s what they did to make it work.
- Reserved the entire bowling alley
- Promoted the event through fliers and word of mouth
- Encouraged dads and daughters already attending the church to invite friends
- Asked those coming to let the contact person know so lanes could be assigned. This was done so visitors would know in what lanes they would find their friends
- Provided free pizza
- Contacted local businesses for coupons and gift certificates to give away for strikes and spares
- Asked three people to be a "prize patrol" to handle the give-aways.
Several came that do not regularly attend the church making the evening a great relationship-building event.

Hmmm... Hagerstown Motivates Congregation To Evangelism |
"Why bother praying for the unsaved if we don't know any?"
"Just 3" in Hagerstown, Maryland, is a motivational tool that the Maranatha, Grace Brethren Church developed in order to challenge their congregation to get to know and pray for non believers.
“We have people praying for the pray-ers”, says Jay Fretz, Senior Pastor of Maranatha Brethren Church in Hagerstown, Maryland. So far 11 people have come to know Christ.
The “Just 3 Program” started in the midst of a church council meeting. The decision was made “that we shouldn’t bother to pray for the unsaved if we don’t know any.” So the Maranatha church began the “Just 3” program to change that. Read more... |
