The Momentum prayer signup is ready. Go to www.buildmomentum.org and click the "Pray for Momentum" link. This will take you to the event schedule with times to sign-up and pray. Also, check each morning of Momentum for reports and pictures from the previous day. |
Pray for the over 2,000 people who will participate in this week-long event where students will be challenged from the Word. Momentum is unique in that it not only challenges the students through the speaking and training events but it also focuses on the local church. Each day church youth groups meet to interact about what they are learning. Another uniqueness is the practical, hands-on opportunities for outreach and helping other people. Please pray that God will send a spirit of revival to each person in attendance. May lives be changed as a result of Momentum! |

On July 4th the Chessapeake team was invited to perform during a major outside festival called Jubilee in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. "Following the parade, we took the stage and ran a program full of the gospel message. We ended on the Cross Illustration and had such a good response from the town and organizers of Jubilee. They even gave us money to pay for lunches. The entire afternoon we ran children's games and mixed with the town. This was unique in that the community asked us to come and be part of "their" party instead of us knocking on doors asking them to come and see us at church. Everywhere we went they recognized the shirts and name. We carried the message into all the shops and in many conversations." Read more... |

Boys Will Be Men |
Wilderness camping, discipleship, boys and men all are a part of GBB (Grace Brethren Boys). Recently Ed Lewis had the opportunity to participate in a youth/adult High Adventure trip in north central Pennsylvania. As he drove north to Snow Shoe on Route 80 going almost 50 miles into the Sproul State Forest, he knew it would be “roughing it.” He slammed the brakes on his car to avoid hitting a huge bear over the crest of a hill on Route 144. Power Trax at Momentum |
At Momentum this year students will have the opportunity to learn about Biblical issues and topics from some great teachers during morning Power Tracks, which run Monday-Thursday. Students can choose to stay in a track all four days or try out different tracks each day. Check out this year’s list of topics and presenters and think about which one you might like to attend!

Driven '07--A Conference For Young Adults |
Kenyon College, in Gambion, Ohio, is one of the most beautiful campuses a person could visit. It fit well within the context of the Driven Conference. The leadership team did a great job planning the conference especially to attract young adults. Ezra Wimberly and his band led music. All the sessions included interviews, video clips, informal sharing, and great challenges from the Word. There was plenty of hang-time available and the young adults certaintly enjoyed the challenges and the encouragement of the conference. Ed Lewis, Executive Director of CE National, was able to lead seminars at the event and enjoyed interacting with those in attendance. Congratulations to the volunteers who plan this great conference. |
412 Commission Still Alive and Well |
Reports have come from those who are presently serving on the 412 Commission, doing their internships all around the world. They have requested prayer as they are adjusting to being away from the team and indivually serving the Lord. Applications are coming in for next year as the 412 Commission will be hosted at Grace Community Church in Goshen, Indiana. Orientation for the 2007-2008 team will take place at CE National's Russell Center beginning on the evening of Tuesday, August 14.
