God Uses the 412 Mexico Trip--by Ryan Rodeman

412 in Mexico

412 and Friends in Mexico

God used the Mexico City trip in powerful ways in the lives of this team.

We were exposed to extreme poverty–seeing people living next to sanitation dumps and in huts on the side of a mountain. As a team, we observed that although many of our new Mexican friends had far less material possessions than we do, they seemed far more content. Read more and see pictures...

Michael Saldivar

Michael Salvidar, a member of CE National's Youthnet Commission

Michael Saldivar, Youth Pastor of the Modesto La Loma Grace Brethren Church, California, is one of a group of youth workers who network together to help plan events for young people and youth workers. This weekend the Northern California churches will gather in the mountains for an annual snow retreat.

Timothy Kurtaneck (TK), and his wife Dana, are featured guest speakers. TK not only directs CE National's The National Institute to train future youth pastors, but he directs Operation Barnabas summer ministry teams and speaks to youth and youth workers.

Please pray for the impact of the retreat.

CE Hmmm... Tips On Delegation -- Edited by Andy Wirt

Knowing what to delegate and what to do yourself can be tricky sometimes--especially for a pastor or church leader. Gary L. McIntosh, in his December 2006 edition of Growth Points, has these suggestions. Read more...

Momentum (BNYC) Combines a Conference With a Missions Trip

Gulfport

People seem to have forgotten that the effects of Katrina are still being felt in the Gulfport, Mississippi area. Every student who comes to Momentum will have the opportunity of going to Gulfport to help with the recovery efforts. Thousands of people live in temporary mobile homes awaiting someone to help build their homes. Students will help by hanging drywall, painting, and more.

Don't forget about the needs of others. That's why the theme of Momentum is "Extreme Makover--Heart Edition". The main reason why CE National is holding conference in Mississippi is with the intent of helping others.

Pray for the impact of this conference. While the programming of conference is excellent and the University of Southern Mississippi campus in Hattiesburg is beautiful and fully air-conditioned, the needs in the surrounding area are huge.

The July 21-27 conference should not only change hearts, but it should build Momentum for ministry in the local church. Urge your church to attend. Go to www.buildMomentum.org for more information.

Your Budget--by Bud Barger, CE National Estate Planner

At the conclusion of my January article (Starting 2007 Under Control), I was quite explicit that when handling God's Assets, you must look at every aspect of maintaining Financial Stability.

God provides all that we need, and in most cases, our cup runneth over. However, when some of us look at the cup, it is empty, and we still have bills to pay. We are trying to make ends meet, needing prescriptions, funds for education, money for utility bills and many more expenses. There is just not enough money to go around. Read more...

Pastor Roy Polman Goes Liturgical :)

Roy Polman

Pastor Roy Polman of Beaumont, California (Cherry Valley Grace Brethren Church) goes liturgical. :)

In all honesty, Roy Polman never dresses this way except when he participates in a drama presentation. Ed Lewis recently spoke at the Cherry Valley Church in a combined service with people from Hemet and Yucca Valley. We praise the Lord for Roy and for faithful pastors who are serving the Lord in helping evangelize, disciple and develop mature believers.

Roy and his wife Judy, are faithful warriors of the faith. Roy is the son of Gerald and Phyllis Polman and the grandson of the late Leo and Leila Polman.
