Teens Make Commitments For Christ At MAD Retreat

Timothy Kurtaneck (TK), CE National's Director of Church Relations, Operation Barnabas, and The National Institute, had the privilege of being the guest speaker for last weekend's winter youth retreat at Summit Lake Camp, in Maryland. The theme of the 2007 winter camp for the Mid Atlantic District retreat was "Rock Solid". The idea of the retreat was that we need to know Jesus personally and then be a person of character and integrity that points other people to Jesus. Read more and see pictures...

Tips To Keep Your Small Groups On Task For Making Disciples

The natural tendency in small groups seems to become strong in connecting people and developing deeper relationships. I've always thought this was the most important function of a small group because I believe connected relationships are necessary for the development of spiritual maturity. However, what I've observed in my years as a small group pastor is that a group can enjoy being together and may have even developed vital relationships, but may not be stimulating spiritual growth in individuals' lives.
