Praise God For Your Support |
|
CE National just received word of a gift of $4,500 from the Worthington Grace Brethren Church. We thank God for the many people who have given and pledged finances to help CE National pay for this facility.
The gift from the Worthington Church completed the goal to have the building entirely paid for through gifts and pledges. That is awesome! Thanks to everyone who helped us reach this goal.

The plaque honoring Dennis and Jeanine Russell is now displayed in the center. The building is named in their honor. |
Joshua Moline Gets a New Heart |
Joshua Molina became a favorite of the Operation Barnabas teams last summer because the OB training was done at the Norwalk, California Grace Brethren Church where Wayne Ayer is Senior Pastor. Josh came to the services and everyone knew that he was badly in need of a new heart. The doctors said it was essential. Josh is a wonderful Christian boy who is very faithful at the Norwalk GBC. He told his mom once, "I hope you won't be offended, but my very best frriend is Jesus."
Wednesday night Josh got his new heart. Wayne Ayer said it was eeire to sit in the hospital at 11pm and hear the helecopter land and for the hospital personnel to rush in with the heart. One person dies so that Josh can have a new heart. As Wayne says it was like Joshua Moline was just reborn. Read more at www.gracelive.com.
Please continue to pray for Josh.

The 20 Greatest Websites I've Never Heard Of
I'm constantly reminded of how much I don't know. There is so much information and so many resources out there...its hard to keep up. I realize how behind I am...even more so as I try to catch up (smile!)! Maybe you can relate.
My angst was softened a bit as I read an article from Outreach.com that briefly highlighted 20 websites and how they could benefit church leaders. When you have a moment this week, take a few minutes to read the article and check 5 or 10 of these sites out. You may just find that you're more up-to-date and tech savvy than you thought you were!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it ??? |

Timothy Kurtaneck (TK for short) is CE National's Director of Church Relations, Operation Barnabas and The National Institute. Recently he and his wife Dana, were guest speakers at the Northern California Sierra Celebration. Here's his report from the weekend.
While many in the United States may dread winter, it's a big deal for a California kid to get to see and play in the snow! Winter Retreats are a great way for youth groups to bond as well as to invite unsaved friends along for a great weekend. Read more...
