Students Learn About Contemporary Youth

The National Institute for the Development of Ministries to Youth held its spring semester module class last week, January 3-8th, at the Grace Brethren Church of Powell. The class "Counseling and Communicating with Contemporary Youth" is just one of the classes toward a major or minor in the institute. The group was comprised of 32 students, teacher's assistant Tim Clothier and Professor Mark Artrip. Read more...

Mid-Atlantic Day Away Now April 12, 2007

The Mid-Atlantic Day Away--North of 55 is now April 12, 2007. (Was scheduled for April 19.)

Dr. John Whitcomb will be the guest speaker with "Two Nuts and a Bolt" performing Christian comedy. The event will take place at Rhodes' Grove Camp, just south of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Day Away--North of 55 are one-day regional seminars for North of 55ers.

CE Hmmm...Spontaneous Baptism Edited by Andy Wirt

Whenever I read through the Gospels or Acts, I’m always challenged by the fact that baptisms were spontaneous. They didn’t wait for special pools to be filled or worry about having a certain number of people ready to be baptized before going to the trouble of setting a date and filling an oversized fiberglass tub a few (maybe!) times a year. Rather, when someone in NT times committed their life to following Christ…they were baptized immediately as a visual illustration of a changed life. Read more...

Any new church will receive a free youth worker registration (youth worker only) with every 5 students who register and attend Momentum 2007. Also, each student from the new church will receive a $25 registration discount. A new church is one that has not had a student attend one of the last three BNYC’s (years 2004, 2005, or 2006).
